Graduate Writing Commons

Are you a WashU grad student with a writing project? Do you write best working alongside your peers? Tired of staring at a blank page?

You are welcome to join the Graduate Writing Commons for quiet, dedicated writing time, with the added benefits of accountability and community. All graduate students, from any school and at any stage, are welcome.

This series, co-sponsored by the Graduate Center, the Writing Center, and the Center for the Humanities, offers dedicated writing time for graduate and professional students.

Additionally, there will be special sessions devoted to learning and practicing the Pomodoro technique on February 28 and March 28, a session with Dr. Karolyn Senter on February 21 focused on writing habits and mental health plus a special luncheon on April 11.

The Graduate Center (lower level of the Women’s Building) will host writers on Friday mornings, 9am-noon, throughout the academic year. Some sessions will be held in the Center for the Humanities (in Umrath), so please check the location for the sessions you sign up for.

Coffee and tea always provided!

Register for individual sessions at the link below. Walk-ins are also welcome!
