The Writing Center and The Speaking Studio at Washington University in St. Louis provide free, one-on-one tutoring to all WashU undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff for any writing or public speaking project.

2023-2024: We are offering both in-person and online appointments. You have the option to choose your modality for most weekday appointments, though some tutors working on weekdays might be working remotely, so please pay close attention to your options. All evening and weekend appointments are online only.

Please note: Masks are no longer required in The Writing Center; however, individual tutors may ask you to wear a mask while working with them. We appreciate you respecting such requests.
