Adam (he/him) is a Ph.D. candidate in Japanese literature and comparative literature. He was a Japanese government scholar at the University of Tokyo and was awarded a Fulbright, during which he conducted research at Keio University in Japan. His dissertation focuses on the literature of the 1968 student protests in Japan. He has a second-degree black belt in judo and a blue belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
