What brought you to The Writing Center?

I came to the Writing Center because a professor recommended it, and I found the strategies to be super helpful for my own writing. From there, I wanted to help people in the same way, so applying was really a no-brainer.

What do you like most about working with writers at The Writing Center?

I really enjoy getting to experience new perspectives and writing styles. Getting to work with students can be just as valuable for me as it is for the student.

What do you find most challenging about writing?

The biggest challenge for me is self-editing. Being able to separate yourself from your own work and objectively critiquing it can be really difficult sometimes.

What advice do you have for writers?

My biggest piece of advice would be to stick to your own writing style and voice. Everyone has a unique way of expressing their writing, and finding strategies that work for that style is a great way to improve.
