Sara is a PhD candidate in the department of English and American literature. She studies medieval English literature, with a focus on devotional literature, as well as texts by and for women. She is currently completing her dissertation, entitled “‘Your mowthe ys not the mouthe of God’: Confession, Interiority, and Authority in Fifteenth-Century Vernacular Theology” under the direction of Professor David Lawton. Prior to returning to graduate school she worked in political communications for former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
