Emily Thompson

Emily is a PhD candidate in the Art History and Archaeology department studying early modern Italian sculpture and gardens. Her dissertation is focused on sixteenth-century sculpture, garden design, and alchemy in ducal Florence. Her minor field focuses on early modern cross-cultural and artistic exchange between “East” and “West” from 1500-1700. Outside of work, Emily is a dedicated podcast listener and is always happy to get and give recommendations.
