Lavinia is a sixth year PhD candidate in Comparative Literature and Thought. Her dissertation examines memoirs and novels about girls’ coming-of-age in Nazi Germany and the Cultural Revolution. Her research interests include women’s literature, Asian American literature, Chinese post-socialist literature, and affect studies. Other than being a literary critic, she is a poet, and her creative work explores women in fairytales and family history.
